TRANTS PLANT'S operating since 1997 is a family business  run by horticulturalist  Lucy Trant and  husband Joe Guiney.  

Lucy looks after the pricing, planning, and design  of each project,  from start to finish and liases completely with the customer, dealing with all eventualities.

The success of the business is due to a reputation for top-quality work, and attention to detail.  Having all the machinary necessary for landscaping available at Trant's Plants, makes pricing of work very competitive.

Lucy, (B.Agr.Sc.) a graduate of U.C.D. Lucy trained in Holland, England, France, Norway and Heffernan's Nurseries, Co. Kerry, where she worked as nursery manager and was responsible for all landscaping projects undertaken. Lucy also works with The Kerry Parents and Friends Garden Centre Listowel as a horticulturist.

Joe, self employed in agricultural contracting for over 20 years, Joe started out helping his father but now has joined forces with Lucy to oversee the ground-work and preparation in all landscaping projects. Joe has a great knowledge of soils, drainage, site excavation, clearance, and preparation.
